How to Use Internet on PC through mobile via Ufone Connection

There are three (3) ways of connecting internet on PC through mobile
a). Infrared Link
b). Data Cable
c). Bluetooth

Before starting, following steps are pre-requisites
a). Subscription to GPRS is a pre-requisite
b). Confirm that the handset support the IR reception and same is available on your
PC/laptop.
c). In case of connecting through data cable, make sure the data Cable is attached and the mobile is detected by the computer.

If using IR Link, then follow this step; otherwise leave this step for Data Cable.
a). Activate IR reception on your handset
b). Ensure the line of sight of the IR link between laptop and handset.
c). Laptop will automatically detect your handset, appearing on the task bar
d). Ensure that the IR link remains established between your laptop and handset.

Now go to "Control Panel" and click on "Printers and other hardware"

1. Now double click on "Phone and Modem Options".




2. In the modem tab select standard modem over IR link




3. Click on to dialing rules tab in the phone and modem option and press edit button.




4. In the Edit Location Window, Click on the General Tab; Select tone option and Press Ok.



5. Click on the Modem Properties.
   



6. Select maximum port speed.



7. Click on the Advance tab and enter the extra initialization commands:
   For Post Paid
   •AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP",“ufone.internet”;+CGQREQ=1,3,4,3,2,31;+CGQMIN=1,3,4,3,2,31
   For Pre Paid
   •AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP",“ufone.pinternet”;+CGQREQ=1,3,4,3,2,31;+CGQMIN=1,3,4,3,2,31
   For U-Mail Account
   •AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP",“umail.internet”;+CGQREQ=1,3,4,3,2,31;+CGQMIN=1,3,4,3,2,31

----> Click on "Advance Port setttings"

1. In the advance port settings uncheck the use FIFO buffers




2. Select the com number currently in use and Press Ok.







3. Click on the "Change Default Preferences" Button.


4. Select Port Speed to Maximum.


5. Select "Flow Control" to none.






6. Press Ok and Exit Modem properties
   


7. Go to Control Panel and Click on Network and Internet Connection.






8. Click on Network Connection.





9. Click on create a new Connection.



10. Click on the Next button on the New Connection Wizard.



11. Select "Connect to the Internet" Option and Press Next Button.



12. Select "Setup my connection manually" and Press Next Button.



13. Select "Connect using a dialup connection" and Press Next Button.





14. Enter "Ufone" without quotes as ISP Name and Press Next Button.




15. Enter *99***1# in the phone number field and Press Next Button.

16. Uncheck the options and leave the fields blank and Press Next Button
    
    
    
17. Press Next Button to finish to Complete the Connection Wizard.
